Taylor K. Shaw is leading the charge when it comes to cultivating more diversity and opportunities in the animation industry. The Brooklyn-based founder and CEO launched Black Women Animate, a mission-driven animation studio, back in 2017, and the company has since partnered with the likes of Pixar, Disney and Paramount, producing original content and focusing on uplifting female and nonbinary storytellers of color.
