Kia Damon, 27
This self-taught chef made major waves in the foodie world when she was named executive chef at New York hot spot Lalito at just 24, and then the first culinary director of beloved indie mag, Cherry Bombe. This summer, Damon cofounded Auxilio Space, a community-focused food space and non-profit uplifting queer, trans, Black and Indigenous New Yorkers, through which her mutual aid initiative, Kia Feeds The People Program, also operates.
