Along the Water in DUMBO
For those who never venture off the island, taking a quick train to Dumbo is worth your while. There is a path that runs along the water taking you past Jane's carousel, under the bridge and continues onward. You could spice up this outing by walking across the Brooklyn bridge instead of taking the subway back.
