Wonderfactory
Company: Wonderfactory is a web design firm that provides web design, site redesign and launch, web strategy, R&D, advertising, and content development services. They not only manage the site launches but also create brand experience and revenue streams. Opened: 2005, re-named in 2006 Employees: 20 Co-founders: David Link and Joe McCambley The office: Aside from the fact they have pristine views of the Empire State Building and are the #1 Zagat-rated location for water-balloon dropping, the office is a playground for grown-ups with indoor and outdoor space. There is a play lounge complete with all gaming systems [Nintendo Wii, HD cable with games Super Mario, Wii Tennis, and Rock Band] to pick you up after you read the "Critique Wall" comments. There is a Moroccan lunch table inspired after Georgetown's Mie N Yu. There is a space called 'the view' because of its 360-degree video footage of exotic places displayed. To enter the Secret Idea meeting room, you have to walk through a closet, which pays homage to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. Wise Words: "We wanted it to be bright, fun and almost kidlike. We didn't want it to match so much. As you go from room to room, you'll see that it is very eclectic." "We try to have big parties two to three times a year. We invite clients and have poker tables, chocolate fountains, magicians and fortune tellers. -David Link [Photos via]
