Nightlife
Nightlife:
Fall is always a good time for new hotspots to pop up in New York, timing their openings with the mass of models and tastemakers in town for Fashion Week. We're looking forward to:
- Le Baron in Chinatown. If it ever opens. Note to Andre Saraiva-Can you please open soon?
- Nightlife staple Nur Khan's new club, the Electric Room (fitting, because the space was once the building's electrical room), in the basement of Vikram Chatwal's Dream Downtown. PhD, the hotel's rooftop club, opened just a month ago and has already become a hotspot, so we can only imagine what this will be like. The space is rumored to hold just 100 people.
- The Vault at Pfaff's has been soft opened for a while now, but officially welcomes the public on Sept. 9. Old timey, sophisticated, classic yet comfortable, it sort of has a speak-easy vibe, but without all the bullshit non-secrecy-secrecy.
- Come October, New Yorkers will no longer be able to complain about not having anywhere to mini golf. The always innovative Bowlmor Lanes team will be opening a 16,000 square foot country club/nightclub/golf course hybrid called the Greenwich Village Country Club in the rooftop space on 110 University Place that previously housed Carnival.
- Bagatelle’s bringing boozy bunches to a whole new level with a new larger space, moving into Collective's former venue in the Meatpacking District. They'll be open this September.
