Love winter activities, hate winter weather? Well, we've got some good news for you.
Starting on January 10th, you can "ice" skate indoors at New York's highest new rooftop rink. Appropriately dubbed Sky Skate, the experience presented by Dunkin' Rewards is taking over the indoor portion of Edge’s sky deck at Hudson Yards, offering incredible skyline views from 100 stories up.
As for how you're able to stay warm and protected from the elements while skating? The 1,024-square-foot indoor rink is covered in innovative Glice, a zero-energy ecological and synthetic alternative to real ice. It's smooth enough to glide on and still totally cool without being, you know, actually cold.
And since the space is topped with a disco ball and backed by gorgeous panoramic views, you can snag the ultimate Instagram without worrying about your puffer coat ruining your look. We'd call that a win-win.
The seasonal pop-up runs through March, with live DJs heating things up even more every Thursday and Friday from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Tickets for the 30-minute sessions are available HERE and include free skate rentals as well as full access to the outdoor observation deck where you can indulge in special cocktails from Edge’s bar and seasonal treats like hot chocolate and Belgian waffles.
Psst: Dunkin’ Rewards members visiting Sky Skate will also have access to special promotions and giveaways throughout the season.
See you in the sky!
