Though it may seem like it, the official holiday honoring the Moscow Mule does not fall during the Kentucky Derby. It's actually this Saturday, March 3rd.
And what better way to celebrate than by toasting 12-pound versions of the stuff? The PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown, famous for their 10-pound takes on the lime-and-ginger cocktail, is offering an epic upgrade this weekend. On Saturday, from 2 to 6 pm, cocktail connoisseurs can try their hand at creating their own Insta-worthy Moscow Mule at an epic DIY bar in collaboration with Owen's Craft Mixers.
First, choose your size: 16 oz., 100 oz., and a special 192 oz. (that's the 12 pounder!), then go crazy with your garnishes - they'll have everything from edible glitter and wasabi to sour patch kids and cotton candy! Sweet, spicy, and boozy - it really doesn't get much better.
While we definitely don't judge, revelers opting for the massive copper cups should probably have a few friends in tow. Sharing is caring, you guys!
