A bonus for those not dietarily restricted: Ample Hills Ice Cream Making

Yeah, we can all Google “Best Ice Cream NYC” and get a list of places to go wait in a long line for a cone that will melt more on your hand than in your mouth. And the chances are, Ample Hills Creamery is going to be on one of those lists you pull up. This isn’t to say that the ice cream isn’t banging, but why not mix it up a little bit and go for something that won’t require you to wait behind a long line of strangers for a few seconds of heat reprieve?

The lesser known fact about Ample Hills Creamery is that they offer ice cream making classes. Check out their ever-changing schedule on their website. Every class is flavor specific and has only 16 spots, so spaces are limited.

One of my favorites that I have seen has by far been Ice Cream 101: Bourbon, Beer & Boozy Floats. A 21+ class combining ice cream and alcohol, I could only imagine that this would be every normal adult human stomach’s dream. As they say there, this class gives a whole other meaning to “grabbing a pint.”
