Messy Divorce
The fairy tale marriage came to an end in 2018, after Libbie found her husband asleep in the nude with a female houseguest following a dinner party they hosted in their nine-bedroom Hamptons estate. The scandal launched a years-long divorce, which, thanks to the lack of a prenup, saw the couple battling it out for an art collection worth millions along with ownership of their $72 million Manhattan townhouse. Libbie even alleged that her husband had moved $200 million worth of art out of their Water Mill home to hide his assets.
The ugly proceedings seemed to come to an amicable conclusion in 2020, when Libbie accepted a deal which included $100 million, art, real estate, child support for their two children, and alimony.
