Kim Kardashian's Paris Robbery
Who could forget where they were when they heard about Kim Kardashian's harrowing experience of being robbed at gunpoint by burglars who had somehow gotten into her uber-private hotel (which is literally called the No Address Hotel) in Paris? In all seriousness, I was shook for her, so I can't even imagine how she felt. In 2016, the two thieves (dressed as police officers) got away with $10 million in jewelry, including her 20-carat diamond engagement ring, two Cartier diamond bracelets, and a gold Rolex watch. Years later, it's still unclear who organized the break-in, though Kim's insurance company did sue her security guard at the time, Pascal Duvier, for, well, failing to do his literal job.
