Too long have bougie, socially aspirational New Yorkers envied the plush pastoral setup Brits have the pleasure of enjoying at Soho Farmhouse. A short journey from London, the Cotswold hot spot has been complete cat nip for celebs and the posh-hungry. Meghan Markle did enjoy her bachelorette weekend there after all...
Well, card carrying hipsters of these United States need begrudge no more! It's been reported that Soho House is considering opening up a Soho Farmhouse just 100 miles north of the city, in Rhinebeck. Dutchess County, for those who don't know, is basically becoming just a satellite location of Brooklyn.
All we can say is start mentally preparing yourself for all of the annoying Instagrams to come. Don't get us wrong, we're sure it'll be the most lovely, bucolic retreat around, where everything you eat is grown on the property, and somehow there's always an adorable sheep nearby, and everyone who's there magically has a very impressive sounding job that is also, in a sense, not a job at all. But if they think their whole no-social-media schtick is going to fly there, they've got another thing coming to them. And that thing would be influencers.
See you at exclusive rich people camp!
