Have A Daycation
For those of us who can't quite afford to do as the jet-set do, there's always day trips or local "escapes" that don't require a private plane. Have a daycation on, say, Governors Island, where you can stop at a spa, enjoy oysters with a view, and even escape to Tulum for a few hours.
For even less effort, you can hop from France to Italy without so much as packing a carry-on.
