I went around asking for some New Years Resolutions from some in-the-know New Yorkers last week. I will be sharing with you their answers tomorrow but thought that famegame's Tatiana Platt came up with quite a resolution, one that deserved it's own post:
"My New Year's Resolutions for 2009 are about being more inspired and taking wisdom from the amazing books I have read this last year:
#1 Trust my gut (Outliers, by Malcolm Gladwell)
#2 Live in the moment (The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle)
#3 Try a new profession for a day (Hurt Yourself, by Harry Hurt)
#4 Teach a class (Schooled, by Anisha Lakhani)
#5 Stay home more (Gilding Lily, by Tatiana Boncompagni)
#6 Raise a healthy baby (The Baby Book, by Sears and Sears)
#7 Get to know my neighbors (One Fifth Avenue, by Candace Bushnell)
#8 Be creative (Lulu, by Lulu de Kwiatkowski)
#9 Be environmentally aware (Hot, Flat and Crowded, by Thomas Friedman)
#10 Write the book I have been talking about writing!"
Beautiful!
Remember to come back tomorrow to read all of your favorite New Yorker's resolutions!
