The NYC Chapter of Delta Delta Delta held a fundraiser at Le Pomme to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital, a non-profit treatment and research facility dedicated solely to pediatric forms of cancer.

The theme was "A Stars & Crescent Evening," and SVEDKA hooked attendees up with complimentary cocktails to make people feel extra charitable at the silent auction table.

Known for its policy of providing children with cancer treatments even if their families cannot pay for them, St. Jude was founded in Memphis by Danny Thomas (yep, Marlo's father) in 1962 with the phrase "no child should die in the dawn of life" in mind. The center, which now has several affiliate hospitals around the country, was aptly named after St. Jude Thaddeus, who's the saint of hospitals, lost causes, and desperate cases. Not surprisingly, St. Jude's efforts (that have resulted in the survival rate of lymphoblastic leukemia to increase from 4% in 1962 to 94% today) have been recognized and endorsed by a plethora of celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, Robin Williams, Ray Romano, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bernie Mac and Jimmy Smits.
