2020. It just sounds like some year in the distant future, one where we're all just walking iPhones. But alas, the future is now I suppose, and that's basically what it already looks like.
This New Year's Eve, New York will be bustling with parties - but the one reservation guaranteed to be a beyond good time? L'Avenue at Saks. Since opening just under a year ago, the Parisian export has become a revolving door of celebrity fans - from Mariah Carey and Kim Kardashian to Gigi and Bella Hadid. So you know there's going to be some fun faces to see on this festive night.
The hot spot will be hosting the city's most stylish for two seatings, with early bird tables sat between 5:30PM and 6:30PM for a 4-course tasting menu at $180/person with a $120 optional wine pairing, and a night owl portion with tables booked from 9PM onward for a 5-course tasting menu at $280/person with a $150 optional wine pairing.
Guests can expect delicious dishes such as Roasted Sea Bass, Porcini Chestnut Velouté, and Black Truffle Risotto. And if you're really looking to make a night of it, their Caviar Upgrade is a no-brainer holiday splurge which will get you 50 grams of Petrosian Caviar with blinis and cream.
For those just looking to dance their sequin dressed selves silly (the official dress code is Cocktail Chic), the restaurant's alpine inspired lounge Le Chalet will have DJ Mazurbate playing the best tunes in town from 11PM to 2AM. And by way of some sort of residual Christmas miracle, there won't be an entrance fee! Just come prepared for a cash bar.
