The 18th Room
A rebellious nod to the 18th amendment, which kicked off prohibition in the 1920s, The 18th Room in Chelsea provides a bespoke twist on the typical speakeasy scene. The luxe hideout is the brainchild of Dave Oz, a co-owner of Bathtub Gin (which, conveniently, is right next door). Enter through a faux coffee supply shop, tell the bartenders what you're feeling, and they'll whip up a custom concoction based on your flavor and spirit preferences. No pressure, though - there's also a menu you can order off.
