5. Glasgow, Scotland

Roughly four hours northwest of London, Glasgow is a bona fide party hub that’s well worth the trip. For newcomers, there’s a distinct nightlife corridor with bars lining Sauchiehall Street, Union Street, and Clydesdale—if you’re open to anything, start here and hop around the area. Dedicated electronic music fans, however, should make a pilgrimage to Sub Club, a pioneer in Scotland’s scene since the late '80s that’s been dubbed the “longest-running underground club in the world.”
