Buried deep in Chinatown is 169 Bar, where the long and cheap happy hour keeps patrons at the bar's pool table even after the specials end. From 1:00pm-7:30pm, 7 days a week, enjoy $3 beer and shot combos; $1 off cans of beer and drafts; and $2 off all other drinks.

From Sasha Petraske, the guy who brought you the famed cocktail bar, Milk and Honey, comes White Star. This spot is a Chinatown "sipping spirits bar," according to Petraske. No happy hour specials here, but if you're looking for a quiet after-work watering hole downtown, White Star is a step above some of its grungy neighbors. Though White Star boasts a full bar, the focus here is on absinthe.
White Star, 21 Essex St (at Hester)
This candy store-turned-rock bar may be more well known for its eclectic weeknight DJs than it is for its candy store past, but owner Lisa Gartner pays homage to the bar's roots by keeping Lemonheads, Milk Duds, and other candies on the menu. Happy hour here is daily from 6:00pm-9:00pm, and the specials are just as sweet as the candy: $2 well drinks, $2 Bud and Bud Lites, and $1 off all other drinks.
Sweet Paradise, 14 Orchard Street (near Canal)
Whiskey Tavern brings happy hour to an otherwise dead (or at least dry) stretch of Manhattan. Monday through Friday from 4:00pm-7:00pm, specials include $1 off domestic beer and $12 pitchers of Miller Light. Happy hour fills up quickly so arrive early, especially if you want to get a seat at the bar's outdoor garden.

Where the borders get blurry and you're not exactly sure if you're in Little Italy or Chinatown, you'll find Oneial's. This spot offers one of the most popular happy hour specials in the neighborhood (whatever neighborhood this may be). Come to Oneial's during the week from 4:00pm-7:00pm to enjoy $4 draft beers and $5 well drinks-- or just come to gawk with the Sex and the City fans that flock here daily. Oneial's is the bar that served as the backdrop for Aidan and Steve's bar, SCOUT, during the series.
