GERMANY: Terrior Wine Bar
The East Village outpost of Terrior Wine Bar and her four sister- branches (located in Murray Hill, Tribeca, Park Slope & the Highline*) may have you scratching your head upon entering. Creator, Chef Marc Canora, and Wine Director, Paul Grieco of Italian restaurants Hearth and the now closed Insieme, might make you feel as though you are stepping into another Italian wine bar. Rest assured, this is not the case! Paul, also the founder of “Summer of Riesling” is one of (many) advocates of Riesling and has devoted pages (yes pages) of it in every wine list, providing a myriad of Riesling options. If you always thought of Rieslings as being too sweet, the staff of Terrior will teach you a thing or two about the diversification of this grape, forever changing your minds about this tasty juice.
