Bespoke cocktails, a hidden entryway, and nightly live music? Sounds like our new favorite date spot has arrived.
Go up an alley and down the stairs and you'll find Saint Tuesday, a cozy and clandestine new cocktail bar in the cellar of Tribeca's trendy Walker Hotel. Nodding to the building's history as a late Victorian ribbons and buttons factory, the haunt is named for the tradition of factory workers taking off on Tuesdays following their weekly Monday night carousing. The intimate space is also decked out in vintage-style interiors, complete with wooden bistro seating and a wall of plush banquettes.
The bar and cocktail program is helmed by Chris Covey, an alum of the legendary Milk & Honey, and features a selection of inventive signature cocktails including the Goldfinch (Fino sherry, Cocchi Americano, fresh lemon, orange bitters, and soda) and The Suitcase (rye, Cynar, honey, salt, and chocolate bitters). Guests can also request a bespoke cocktail personalized to their mood and tastes. Can't beat service like that.
And since the throwback vibes wouldn't be complete without some lively entertainment, Saint Tuesday is also set to host live music each night, spotlighting turn-of-the-century genres like Kaiso, Calypso, Irish Traditional, and Jazz. Clearly this watering hole is all about setting the mood.
