The pioneering cocktail bar helmed by Audrey Saunders announced its closure back in April. An early spot that helped usher in the new era of mixology, Pegu Club has been at its second-floor Soho location since it opened back in 2005, quickly becoming one of the most influential bars in the world. “We knew the day would eventually come when we would have to say goodbye to her, but never did we ever dream that it would be under these conditions,” Saunders said in a statement. Shake one up and pour one out.
