Beer Hall coming to the UES, a stripper is suing several clubs, the Greenpoint Night Bazaar faces community members, and a list of dive bars. Plus, Kim Kardashian brushing off hockey players, Prince William's bachelor party, John Stamos hitting on the 20-somethings and more! Today's nightlife roundup is on the prowl.
1. The Best Hangover Eats in NYC Volume II [GofG]
The dreaded hangover is a part of life for all alcohol consuming adults and the best way to cure it is with some greasy, carb-tastic food. We've scoped out some of the best eats to cure a hangover!
2. NYC Dive Bars [NYP]
The New York Post has created a list of "dive bars." Otto's Shrunken Head, which is included, is more of a tiki-bar/drag queen hang/karaoke joint than anything, and Ace Bar is more a place to play games. I prefer a dive over any other drinking establishment and would recommend 1) Lakeside Lounge. There is absolutely nothing special about this place, except the drinks are on the cheapish-for-New York side and the jukebox is amazing. Or 2) International Bar for its $4-$6 drinks.
3. Upscale Beer Hall Coming To UES [DNAInfo]
The Bohemian National Hall, a historic 19th century institution on the Upper East Side, is getting a high end beer hall called Hospoda.
Patrons will be able to: "sop up popular and rare Czech beers with beef tartare, garlic soup and cold house smoked pork belly, according to this menu."
4. Rockography Opens In Greenwich Village [DNAInfo]
Rockography, a sort-of Hard Rock cafe clone, has opened in Greenwich Village. The bar at the new eatery, located at 504 Sixth Ave., is made from the zinc metal of Marshall electric guitar amplifiers and its walls are covered with concert photography.
The cocktails are all music themed. For example: "No Sympathy for the Devil" is Finlandia infused with sundried tomatoes, spicy V8, lemon juice, horseradish, Tabasco, Worcestershire, and bleu cheese stuffed olive. The "Stairway to Heaven" is Grey Goose espresso, cafe de creme, and Nutella.
5. Sag Harbor Hotspot Expanding [Grubstreet]
Tutto Il Giorno is expanding, opening a second location at 56 Nugent Street in Southampton, reports Grubstreet.
"The tiny restaurant, co-owned by chef Maurizio Marfoglia and Donna Karan's daughter Gabby Karan, has been packed with celebrities from Sarah Jessica Parker to Keith Richards to Calvin Klein and is nearly impossible to secure a prime-time table at during the summer months. "We will try to make it look the same, but it is a bigger space with a bigger kitchen, which means we can expand the menu,'' says Marfoglia, who confirms that Tutto Il Giorno Southampton is slated to open May 15 and that Gabby Karan will once again design the restaurant's interior."
6. Brooklyn Night Bazaar Faces Community Opposition [New York Shitty Via Gothamist]
The night bazaar, proposed to go up in an abandoned lot on the Greenpoint waterfront this summer, is facing problems. The organizer Aaron Broudo envisions a beer and wine garden, nightly performances from "emerging bands," and large scale art installations. Sounds amazing, but community members don't think so. The Open Space Alliance fought back at a public meeting this Saturday and neighbors brought up concerns:
"Most were concerned about the bazaar bringing more trash, noise, and traffic to the community. Folks were also concerned about increased alcohol consumption, people hanging out on stoops near the waterfront, safety, and whether or not their kids could sleep if musicians or djs played until 2am. It sounds like Aaron does not yet have the proper permits or liquor license in place so there seems to be a lot of room to derail this insane idea...This plan has got to be defeated!"
7. John Stamos Is Still A Stud [Gatecrasher] [Image Via]
John Stamos has still got it with or without The Rippers behind him. He stopped by the wild, champagne-laden boozy brunch at Lavo on Saturday and hit on a twenty-something while exiting the bathroom with his bodygaurd in tow.
8. Kim Kardashian Hit On At Southern Hospitality [PageSix]
Carmelo Anthony and LaLa Vasquez watched the Arizona vs. Connecticut NCAA game at Southern Hospitality in Hell's Kitchen Saturday night. Kim Kardashian and her ass stopped by to meet them and drew the attention of ex-New York Rangers Bryan Berard, Brian Leetch and Adam Grave. They approached, introduced themselves, asked for her number and got denied. Hockey players, even professional ones, don't always score.
9. Prince William's Stag Party Goes Off Without Public Embarrassment [HuffPo]
Prince William had his big bachelor party this weekend!
"Wills, along with Prince Harry took over a Norfolk estate along with 20 other guys, including "James Meade, who Prince William met at Eton, and Thomas Van Straubenzee who attended Ludgroe Prep School in Berkshire with the Prince. Hugh Van Cutsem, whose father owns a large estate in Norfolk, is also understood to have been present. Cutsem is one of Prince Charles' godsons," the Mail writes. And, of course, "bad influence" Guy Pelly was on-hand."
But did Snoop Dog stop-izzle by? No word as of yet. There are also no pics, but we like to imagine there was a drunken recreation of this moment:

10. Aretha Franklin's Birthday Party [NYDN]
Aretha Franklin turned a divine 69 this weekend. To celebrate, she held a late night party at Central Park Hotel on Friday. Tony Bennett, Smokey Robinson, Clive Davis, Bette Midler and Gayle King were just a few of the A-list guests. Jazz musician Roy Ayers, singer Nnenna Freelon, and Tito Puente Jr. performed and Temptations frontman Dennis Edwards serenaded her. She then joined him onstage for "The Way We Were."
"I will be in a horizontal position tomorrow, all day!" she said."
DJ Megatron Shot In Staten Island [E!Online]
Staten Island deejay, rising hip-hop star, and "106 & Park" regular DJ Magetron was shot to death while walking to a local bodega to buy a cigar early Sunday, police and a close friend said.
11. Stripper Suing Clubs For Illegal Kickbacks [Gothamist]
A stripper at three NYC clubs is suing the club owners, claiming that they make her pay illegal kickbacks.
"K. Ae Han, known professionally as Kioki, claims she had to fork over $160 a night as a "shift fee" to work at FlashDancers, Private Eyes and New York Dolls."
12. Groupon Backlash Hits Tawain [Eater]
The Taiwanese animators at NMA have depicted Groupon users as angry zombies. The backlash is now official.
