Max Fish
Max Fish looks like a middle school project between 4 friends who couldn't settle on one idea. The theme is best described as "eclectic" as bright lights show odd wall art, estranged graffiti, an over sized pool table, a few mismatched seating areas, and dive-bar style drink specials. Perhaps the indecision points to the unpretentious factor of this bar (a rarity for its prime location on LES's main Ludlow street strip.) Old school skater folk used to hang out here, from Dash Snow and Ryan McGinley to the boys from the band, TV on the Radio. Today, local skateboarders and English tourists can be found flocking the joint, hitting up the PBR drink specials, and playing pool. Sold on this hub yet? Good. We'll see you at the Fish.
