[Steve Lewis can still get the girls to come party with him, even if they are from a different generation]

Greenhouse was packed last night with people, all excited about paying homage to their nightlife Godfather, uncle Steve Lewis at his official Birthday Party. Sadly, I couldn't make it, though Steve knows that my thoughts were with him yesterday. Steve is old. There is no mistake about that. He misbehaves at times; writing posts partly to illicit controversy, partly because it's the truth. He can be crass, abrasive, and eccentric. But he's Steve Lewis. And, despite his age, he has managed to stay relevant. When nightlife turned from print fliers handed out at Webster Hall shows to online blogs, he took notice and jumped in.
More photos and story below....
He has managed to keep his stories alive, by immortalizing them on the likes of Joonbug, BlackBook, and even the comment section of DBTH. He works hard. And he has stayed a fixture in the NYC nightlife business through party promoting, ownership, fashion, design, dj, host, etc etc etc; not for money, and only a little for fame....he does this business because he truly loves it with his entire soul. And THAT is cause for celebration.
There was a live performance by Hypernova and music by DJs Peate Suzuki & Brooklyn Dawn. Steve Lewis himself was the DJ.
