Fraunces Tavern
Fraunces Tavern is a landmark bar and museum that homeboy George Washington used to frequent. Yeah, you read correctly. Apparently, George Washington made this spot his headquarters during and post the American Revolution, so it must be worth going to. Featuring old-English decor like long wooden tables, candlelit chandeliers, and 1700s era artwork, this place will take you back - and we mean really back. They feature a drink menu with lots of cocktails and a food menu with favorites like chicken pot pie, burgers, and even short rib pappardelle. Their happy hour includes deals like $5 well drinks, $6 select drafts, and even $1 meatballs. Yum.
