Don’t be fooled by her charming, carefree demeanor. Queen Naija is tough as nails.“Having everybody up in your business,” she admits, “isn’t easy.” The sacrifice of privacy is not a small one, and Queen has taken certain measures to protect herself from the chaos fame normally ensues. “There are a lot of expectations that people have, doesn’t mean I have to uphold them…I try not to look at [negative comments] no more, because if you read that stuff, [it] will really mess with you.” She tells me, “I strongly believe [that] whatever you feed yourself, will come out. Feed yourself positivity, and positivity will come out.” She recognizes that being herself is what has made her so successful. And with millions of internet followers already entranced by her, Queen Naija seems ready to take her reign to the rest of the world.
