Your character is decidedly anti-traditional when it comes to motherhood and family life. As a mother yourself, how did you relate to Tina? Did you tap into any frustrations you've felt while parenting? Was she a fun character to play with?
I related to the frustration of people judging each other, the hypocrisy of motherhood. It's something I really tried to bring to Tina. No one has any clue what it's like to live anyone else’s life, right? Inhabiting her was so fun and also so scary. Giving voice to all these things that many women never, ever express was amazingly freeing (and scary like jumping out of a plane!).
