And you have one shoe that has a shell detail... So perhaps the beach, too? Oh yeah! It has a shell on the top. That was actually inspired by an old vintage boot that we had found and we thought it was really cool... it’s very padded. And a lot of our shoes are inspired by vintage shoes. We still, to this day, are constantly vintage shopping, and buying things on eBay. What are some of your favorite spots in NYC for finding vintage clothing and accessories? There’s this store called Edith Machinist, and we go there a lot. We go to this place Narnia. EBay is a huge source of inspiration. And Etsy. But stores in New York? It’s funny, there aren’t that many any more. It’s a lot easier for us to shop online - from the comforts of our office! - than to go on these shopping sprees. But there are still a lot of good stores out there. And then we have stuff from our personal archives. [Hilary and Barri at Edith Machinist via]
