What projects do you have coming up in the future that we should watch out for?
Up next is the HBO premiere of Mickalene Thomas’s Happy Birthday to a Beautiful Woman on Monday, February 24. Another film I produced, Catherine Gund’s Born to Fly about Elizabeth Streb, the Evel Knievel of dance, will play at Film Forum this fall. Director Chiara Clemente and I completed a short film about Alex Katz and his wife Ada, and we plan to shoot a feature this year. And I have ideas for two books I want to write, a fiction set in my native Sri Lanka and a non-fiction about gender and the mid-life crisis. I’ll start research for the mid-life crisis book in the spring.
