What are some of the challenges you face when using obscure locations?
Every new venue is a can of worms when you are using history as your template. However, it is our job to go in and create the infrastructure so that these spaces can be made more user-friendly. We’ve seen everything—a homeless man sleeping inside, vermin chewing through the power lines, linoleum covering marble floors, shady characters looking for bribes. We are fixers...and by the time the Louboutins sweep in, the space is transformed, sexy, and special.
