How does fragrance inspire you creatively?

Erica: One of my favorite things about traveling is the fragrances of new places that hit you, like, immediately. Every destination has a unique fragrance that differs from the last, and by traveling you open up your senses and experience something new every time. Palm Springs, for example, has desert flora, dry sunshine and sweet hints of coconut and pineapples—very different from NYC, that’s for sure! Claire: When I’m cooking I’m really highly attuned to the smells—I think that’s half the fun of making a meal.
