Can you tell me more about your newest series currently on display at your studio?

HG: There are two new things, a new dollar sign that was the invert of the black and white, and then the anatomy of a paint can. Kind of my interpretation of what's going on inside of a paint can, all paint comes in 1 gallon or 5 gallons, thats my description of it. Using the lid I've created all the patterns for this series; the series is only made with a roller, paint, the lid of a gallon of paint, a squeegee for 2 or 3 pieces, and the rest is all my hand style. It's kind of like practicing restraint, and disciplinary action towards the roller. I'm just going down the line and using all the materials and right now I'm trying to master the roller. Before it was a brush or the different things that I'm using. But I'm really fascinated with the roller and its ability to be used as a stamp, and the squeegee, I really like the effects and the treatment it gives to the canvas when you apply it. Harif Guzman
