Josh Wong
Josh Wong I'm originally from San Francisco. I like taking photos because I love capturing real and memorable moments and making people look their best. I like showing and documenting events so you, the viewer, can feel like you were there without actually being there. The best Guest of a Guest event I've ever photographed was... the one I'm going to shoot tomorrow or the next day. They are all great, as I get to meet new people and possibly be at a new venue or space which I haven't been to before. But if I must select one, it'll probably be the Charity Water Ball. My favorite NYC venue to shoot in is Angel Orensanz or Gotham Hall. My best tip to give people preparing to be shot in a photo is don't be afraid of the camera, be open, friendly and engage with the photographer. When that happens, you will have the best pictures ever - ones that will stick as your profile pic for a long time. My biggest inspirations are... I find inspirations in anything. From a simple snowflake, to a painting by Andy Warhol, to fashion, to traveling to new places in the world and seeing new cultures. Being creative and conceptualizing my shots is subjective, but that's what separates me from others, and I love to inspire others as well. If I could do a shoot with anyone, living or dead, it would be... I've always wanted to have a session with a president. That day may come sooner than later. When I'm not taking photos, you can catch me jet-setting to new and exciting places to find my next inspirational shots, but I'll still have my camera with me. It's an extension of my arm.
