The Recent Ukraine Blunder
If you're looking for a lesson in how not to read the room, turn to the development of Danielle's recent "heartfelt" Instagram post about the war happening in Ukraine and, uh, her latest swim launch. Paired with a series of bikini shots, the original caption read, "When I say you can do both, I truly mean it. You can post about fashion and post about world issues. You can raise awareness for your new collection while also raising money to give back."
Since "raising awareness" about a fashion collection isn't really a thing, people were understandably rubbed the wrong way. In response, Danielle edited the caption to highlight her donations to refugee relief and, of course, turned the comments off on the post.
