Dear stressed and anxious #healthcareworker ⁣ ⁣ This too shall pass.⁣ ⁣ For many of us, the only thing occupying every ounce of our mental capacity is: COVID-19⁣ ⁣ How do we treat it??⁣ How do we prevent ARDS!?⁣ How is it spreading so fast?⁣ Will this ever end? ⁣ “OMG HE’S DE-SATing AGAIN?!” When will it start to get better?⁣ When can we stop quarantining and go back to our normal lives (outside the hospital)?⁣ Will I acquire coronavirus? ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ All I can think about is all the things in my life on hold while we work endless hours to control this pandemic in New York City. ⁣ ⁣ No working out. No mcat studying (3 months out btw), No research that I’m passionate about. No website/content building. It’s all #corona right now. ⁣ ⁣ When we’re not working. We’re thinking about working. Or thinking about being carriers and how we are putting others at risk. ⁣ ⁣ It’s hard right now and it will get harder but... this too shall pass. ⁣ ⁣ The sun will rise. ⁣ We will see a new age of medicine with even more passionate providers than before because putting your life on the line for the sake of others really makes you evaluate your “why”.⁣ ⁣ Are you relating to this? Let’s talk in the comments ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #coronavirus #covid19 #physicianassistant #nycnurse #medsurgnurse #nightshiftnurse #pandemic #flattenthecurve #physicianburnout #internalmedicine #hospitalist #infectiousdisease #premed #prenursing #newgradnurse
