View this post on InstagramNurses Week is almost here. We don’t want pens, t shirts or tumblers. We don’t want banners or stickers. We want to know for certain that we will never be put in a position where we are terrified to go to work. That we aren’t going into work & risking our lives in order to care for our patients. We want standards & contingency plans in place in every hospital so that we are prepared to protect those of us at the frontlines in the event of another pandemic. We want to feel respected. We want a seat at the table. We are tired of feeling disposable. We want the overall unpreparedness at every single administrative level, all the way to the federal government, is corrected & learned from. We want those in power to ensure that this never happens again.
