The W Hotel Style Lab, located on the seventh floor of the W Hotel in Times Square is debuting their new holiday concept shop, which features a wide array of fabulous, fashion-forward finds to give, gift and covet.
The Style Lab is curated by fashion consultant and luxury retail pioneer Sarah Easley, who chose the twelve different designers. Among them are gifts for the cocktail enthusiast or foodie by designer Mary Giuliani, chic unisex active shoes from [the jibs life] and one of our favorites, the eccentric recycled bronze and sterling jewelry from the K/LLER collection.
Shoppers are instantly drawn to the K/LLER collection because their pieces are the perfect combination of edgy and sweet; sophisticated with bohemian flare.
We had the chance to speak with K/LLER designers Michael Miller and Katie deGuzman to learn more about their badass collection.
Katie and Michael are celebrating six years of K/LLER and treat all of their collections as evolution, which means that their pieces are meant to be worn from one season to the next.
The designers explain, "One of our best selling pieces is called the Gateway Drug. It is a real porcupine quill and a brass quill.
A couple of seasons ago, we started doing a K/LLER fine collection, where everything is made with 10 and 14 karat gold, so we took our bestsellers and chunked them in mini killer (see photo).
It's all meant to layer. It's all about more is more. We want you to have the small emulous you want to wear and layer in on with larger, more bold pieces."
The K/LLER collection is currently debuting their Evolution 10 Collection in the W Style Lab pop-up, along with their best pieces from the past six years.
Miller explains, "It's 100% responsible and sustainable. We are considered a responsible brand and cast everything with recycled metals: brass, sterling and gold."
