In the midst of stay at home orders and gym closures, it's easy to feel like your once active lifestyle has been abandoned, thus morphing you into a Netflix-binging couch potato. Thankfully, Naomi Campbell has stepped in, providing us with much needed daily fitness motivation to get us out of our quarantine slump.
Every day at 12 pm EST, Campbell goes on Instagram to livestream her workout with Nike Master Trainer, Joe Holder (a.k.a. @ochosystem) who, in recent years, has managed to build up a rather impressive resume, having also worked with the likes of Virgil Abloh as well as other Victoria's Secret models such as Romee Strijd and Georgia Fowler. No wonder he's Naomi's go-to guru.

For 40 minutes, the dynamic duo share a series of workout circuits that are surprisingly doable - both physically and in whichever space you can find at home. Perfect for those of us who aren't blessed with a state-of-the-art home gym or the endurance of an Olympian. The workouts focus on resistance training and typically follow a five step trajectory, starting out with a simple warm-up consisting of moves such as knee tucks and quad pulls, before going into reps targeting activation/joint opening. Then comes the good stuff, focusing on building up that core with side planks and straight leg bicycles. The fourth series incorporates strength exercises, throwing in some squats and lunges, finally topping it all off with everyone's favorite, a bit of conditioning.

Campbell and Holder are sure to incorporate periods of rest, allowing time for everyone's bodies to recuperate between sets. An added bonus to at-home workouts is if you need a bit more rest, you can do so without anyone knowing! And once you've completed the resistance training, your body will continue to burn calories throughout the day. So feel free to plop back on the couch and satisfy your craving for some precious R&R.
Perhaps during that downtime, if you can't seem to get enough of Naomi, you can tune into her series 'No Filter with Naomi' which is occasionally live streamed on her YouTube channel at 3 pm. Each episode features a special guest, such as Ashley Graham who went on to discuss confidence and breaking barriers. Quarantine has shed light on the fact that Campbell, who turns 50 in May, has still got it. Her disco-pumping, intensive daily workouts and introspective conversations not only cement her icon status but are a surefire way to spice up any day.
