2. Honor (and communicate with?) The Dead
It is widely believed that Halloween is the one day a year that the veil between the living world and the "spirit world" is at its thinnest. Wiccan tradition calls for a "dumb supper," a decadent meal eaten in complete silence - with the courses served backwards. Yes, that means dessert first and dinner rolls last. By bringing photos and mementos of your dearly departed, you are calling them to dine with you. Not quite looking for a silent night? Take a few minutes to sit quietly and mentally communicate with your loved ones who have passed. Who knows, you might get a reply.
