What are some of the elements BABËL offers that NYC nightlife had been previously lacking?
We believe that New York holds the most brilliant minds and talent on the planet and our main focus is bringing community around these amazing souls. We avoided working in the typical club scene so we could offer unique and inviting settings - our events are held, for example, on the rooftop of the Mondrian where you have open panoramic view of the city, or the fantastic Halloweenish set up at the home of Sleep No More, the McKittrick Hotel. We also broke the rules of the last decade in having mandatory bottle service. Entries into our events are not based on how much you're willing to pay for a table - it's based on being part of our creative community by bringing your cool to the table.
Another main focus we have is on having the best music. Our selection is beautiful, non-commercial music with a focus on electronic deep and funky house. This sets a dreamscape backdrop that's not too loud and allows for an environment of interaction and conversation. We also love adding some live performance elements through whimsical collaborations arranged by our friend Boris Muzychuk. All together, we ensure a quality environment that is elevating and fun. That's why we keep attracting the same people back and are growing a loyal Babël community of friends.
