Where’s the most surprising place you’ve found inspiration?
I find inspiration everywhere. I can just be in my room, on the streets. The other day I was getting my hair colored, and they wrapped my head into a turban, and it was so artful, so I took a photo of it. I have a continuum of ideas all the time, so I just collect them and make them cohesive and that’s really what my collections are about. If I’m in the subway, or I’m at a party, I’m always seeing things. I’m like a butcher, where they see cuts of meat on people's arms. I see things all the time that relate to what I do.
