New York Academy of Art’s Annual Summer Exhibition

Shattering records from years past, this year’s community-sourced Summer Exhibition garnered over 700 entries with a wide variety of artistic approaches. The resulting exhibition, as Laura Hoptman notes, offers “something unique to today’s contemporary art conversation: top notch draftsmanship,” and presents new ideas in the world of figurative art that will disrupt your expectations.
