What's On Timo Weiland's Holiday Wish List?

There simply could not be a happier face to spot out on the scene than Timo Weiland.

The good-vibes-only society staple is a Creative Director, Entrepreneur, Investor, Advisor, and, as if all of that somehow weren't enough, he's also the go-to DJ for every hot, exclusive event in the city and beyond.

So, curious what's on the most popular man about town's holiday wish list?

How do you celebrate the holidays?  
My lifelong motto is definitely the more festive, the better. Maximalism at its finest. Dyker Heights Christmas Lights meets The Polo Bar and The Carlyle moments multiple times per year with family and chosen family friends. 

Flavorful food home-cooked (not catered), intricate special occasion cocktails shaken, energetic music mixes that include hits ranging from the iconic Sia Christmas album (must listen!) to Mannheim Steamroller and PC music TikTok darlings 100 Gecs (shoutout to St. Louis!).

Where will you be this season?  
The current plan is that we will be bouncing between New York City and Palm Beach until December 28th, then heading to Aspen until January 2nd, 2022 (!!!) to snowboard with friends, re-learn how to ski on skis (it has been 20 years) and DJ an epic set for this amazing annual opening event for the Aspen Art Museum! It is a major Andy Warhol exhibit that I cannot wait to see before my set! 

I will also be DJing at a supercool spot owned by my friend Jayma Cardoso called Snow Lodge (the Montauk Surf Lodge outpost in Aspen for the season). One of my best friends, Alexander Hankin is very involved, which is what brought me into the fold years ago. 

Are you a last-minute or way-in-advance shopper?  
Funny question: I am a true hybrid combination of both last-minute & in-advance shopaholic when it comes to holiday gifts. It is a yearlong process for me with some select items being archived with date and recipient labeled + filed away until the appropriate time. 

What's the best gift you've ever received?
It was not for the holidays, but my close friend and confidante Shantell Martin accepted a unique commission proposition that included a poetic drawing of hers directly onto my left arm to become a permanent tattoo. 

It is the biggest honor to have a work by someone I love so much on my body (especially because she does not do tattoos - ever). 

There have been some beyond beautiful ink sketch portrait commissions and watercolors by another amazingly talented artist friend of mine John MacConnell. 

Each one has been professionally installed in a prominent place in my places or that of any loved one of mine.
