What's On Olivia Landau's Holiday Wish List?

If anyone can attest to the fact that "diamonds are a girl's best friend," it's Olivia Landau.

The fourth generation diamond pro and gemologist is an expert in all things bling as the founder and CEO of The Clear Cut, a one-stop destination for jewelry shopping, gem education, and (ahem) everything involving engagement rings. 

Needless to say, she's the cool girl to turn to if you're hoping to make your holidays extra glittering and glamorous.

How do you celebrate the holidays?  
We are in full holiday work mode in December so we don’t get to vacation until after Christmas! Our office has a beautiful view of the Rockefeller Christmas tree, so our whole office usually gathers for wine and pizza while we watch the tree lighting from our office terrace! My husband and I also always have a traditional Jewish Christmas with Chinese food and a movie in NYC :)

Where will you be this season?  
We are in our super busy season of work until December 23rd when the last Christmas gifts get sent out. Then we usually spend Hannukah and Christmas in NYC and head down to Miami Beach (where I grew up) for some warm weather during New Years for a few days.
 
Are you a last-minute or way-in-advance shopper? 
I am a very last minute shopper! You will definitely see me scrambling around the city after dark trying to find a last minute gift!
 
What's the best gift you've ever given (or received)?
I am really into astrology and love learning about birth charts. I have given personalized natal chart books to a few of my friends and they have all loved it. I have not only given, but also received this gift and it is the best personalized gift because who doesn’t love learning about themselves?
 
Who's the toughest to shop for on your list?
My mom is definitely the hardest to shop for! She has everything and has such specific taste. Since she is impossible to shop for I usually take her out to a nice dinner or gift her an experience like a massage. 

What's your go-to hostess gift?
My go-to gift to give to a hostess is a delicious smelling fancy candle or a really nice bottle of tequila! (Two of my favorite things)
 
Favorite spots around town to pick up something in person?
Besides The Clear Cut showroom (for all your fine jewelry needs) I love picking things up for the home! Saks is a go-to (right by my office), also Sur la Table and diptyque! You can also find amazing gifts at the MoMA Design Store.
 
What's on your list to get?  
Where do I start!? Lol.

I’m obviously eyeing a few of our newest collection pieces like our Chelsea Chain Tennis Bracelet and our Wanderlust Studs!
 
I also want a few new travel coffee table books and a fabulous tropical vacation in my near future.
 
What's on your list to give?
You can never go wrong with gift certificates for massages or facials! I love giving the gift of relaxation!
