You may be the person who always says, "Yes, I know guac costs extra!" but just how much of a guac lover are you?
This National Guacamole Day (our favorite holiday after National Tequila Day), NYC hot spot Bodega Negra at Dream Downtown is serving up some exciting selections of the Mexican favorite, including one special recipe for adventurous eaters only.
We're talking, of course, about grasshopper guac. Listed on the menu as Guacamole Chapulines, this unique twist contains grasshoppers, charred onion, garlic, tomato, chipotle, and scallion ash tortillas. Just think of all the protein!
All served with bottomless chips, the special edition trio developed by Chef de Cuisine Victor Santibañez, in collaboration with Executive Chef Brad Warner, also includes an indulgent Lobster Guacamole, and Guacamole Verde, topped off with cheese flautas.
The dishes are available a la carte for one week only, from September 16th to 22nd. Don't miss out!
