What's one thing you try to do every day just for yourself?

My New Year’s resolution this year was to spend at least 10 minutes before bed doing something that makes me really happy. It could be a bath, or reading, or jotting some notes in a journal, or doing a face mask, or meditating, or just looking at old pictures. It really lets me relax and set my mind up for restful sleep. I have also liked hand writing a to do list in the morning each day. There’s something that makes me insanely happy about crossing things off as I get them done, and I also find it helps me efficiently structure my day in an organized way rather than being scattered and always feeling run down. Most of us are stretched pretty thin, but there are mental games we can play with ourselves (and actual applied planning techniques) that help us gain back a bit of control so at least we feel good about everything we’re doing. I really, really enjoy my one cup of coffee and am always really proud of myself when I get a workout in. It’s the little things.
