The Supper Club Of NYC: Jazz, Gardens, And Pretty People

If you are ever at a loss for creative things to do, fun events to attend and great people to spend some evenings with – you might want to consider joining the Supper Club of New York. Founded by London IT girl, Tamsin Lonsdale, she has brought some serious style, grace and flair to parties around the city. Every time a Supper Club event takes place, it’s always at a really coveted venue, with amazing food, a cool performances or feature and OF COURSE, the hottest guest list.

Such was the case last night when members and friends of the Supper Club traveled uptown to historic Sugar Hill for a picnic at sundown hosted by Tamsin Lonsdale and Tanqueray No. TEN on the lawns of a famed mansion with dancing under the stars to live jazz.

The evening began at the Soho house; members were transported to upper Manhattan via ‘double decker’ bus and Classic Cars to the great lawns and gardens of an idyllic mansion –

the Morris-Jumel Mansion on Sugar Hill, to be exact - one of the oldest residences in Manhattan.

Located at Jumel Terrace in Harlem off of St. Nicholas Avenue at 160th St, Sugar Hill is where Harlem’s elite migrated and was the home of legendary jazz icons Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Lena Horne, etc. The vibe of the mansion and gardens were amazing, and it was a hotbed of inspiration and great energy. WE loved this event!

The exclusive and fun mix of guests enjoyed instrumental and vocal performances by famed local Marjorie Elliott, with vignettes from the James Gang. While we sipped on Tanqueray No. TEN cocktails and enjoyed delectable eats and sweets, we got the chance to shop the luxury silent auction to help raise funds for preservation of the landmark garden.

The crowd was a mix of artists, socials, fashionistas, writers, entrepreneurs and world travelers! Enjoying the beautiful evening in the gardens were Tamsin Lonsdale (Founder of The Supper Club), Phillip Bloch, George Whipple, Richie Rich, Mark Langrish, Neva Lindner, Jennifer Missoni, Charlie De Vaide, Casimir Maltzan, Pooneh Mohazzabi, Pamel Luss, Susan Shin, Allison Harmelin, Karen Eldad, Cameron Moir, Lucy Carr-Ellison, Nick Dietz, David X Prutting, Chau Ngo, Peter Nichols, Flavia Masson, Faran Krentcil, Tierney Model, Zuleikha Robinson, Sarah Ivory and Brant Stead.
