The Best Dressed Guests: Week Of June 1st, 2010

Everyone knows that the best part about going out is getting dressed up, and the attendees at the parties Guest of a Guest covers usually do this with aplomb. Here are the people (and outfits) who made an impression on us this week…-

First Place: Patrick McDonald At The Launch of Ildiko Gal Bespoke

Patrick McDonald was the clear winner this week, by far. The thing we love about Patrick McDonald is that regardless of what he wears, he always looks exactly, fabulously,  like himself. We LOVE t he blue blazer with the yellow pants (VERY Gene Kelly!), and of course, tons of accessories (bracelets, rings, pocket square, jaunty scarf.) We WISH we had this much fun getting dressed.

Second Place: Robert And Courtney Novogratz At The 9 By Design Wrap Party

Oh, how we love love love this couple. We LOVE how they went in contrasting colors, and how, atypically, the woman wore black and the GUY was in cream--their outfits complement each other perfectly without going obnoxiously "matchy matchy." And Cortney takes her relatively demure dress to the next level with the (very) low neckline, while keeping her hair and makeup very simple. Beautiful!

Third Place: Woman In Blue at the Gifted Hands Fundraiser

What a pretty color for this girl! Her asymetric royal blue dress stood out among the sea of blacks and neutrals and makes her blue eyes stand out. Plus, she's got a banging blowout. (Who does your hair, girl?? Can we have their number?)

Honorary Mention: Party Dresses At The American Friends Of The Louvre

We like the print of this dress, we like her hair, and her lack of make up. We wish we could see the whole outfit!

At first we didn't really like this completely red get-up...but then we came around to it. Red dress with red tights and bright red lips? Bold, and we like bold. Red nails would have pushed it over the top, but this girl avoids that with 8 bare nails (two are painted blue.) We applaud her commitment to color; she looks like something out of a movie.

Sparkles and a crazy grape necklace? Yes please. She looks a little more Centre Pompidou than Louvre, but we like the Centre Pompidou better, anyway.

Are you kidding me? This kid is like, 12, and he already knows that pairing a cool graphic tee with a blazer is perfect attire for a cocktail party at the Crosby Street Hotel?
