Riccardo Tisci

Riccardo Tisci
Known for his iconic work with Audrey Hepburn—that Breakfast at Tiffany's LBD, anyone?—Hubert de Givenchy created a brand famous for its ladylike looks and classic styling. After retiring in 1995, Givenchy was succeeded by John Galliano, who moved to Dior less than two years later. Alexander McQueen was named the next creative director followed by Julien Macdonald, but even after the succession of such daring designers, the label didn't regain its previous critical and financial success until the appointment of Riccardo Tisci in 2005. His fascination with the gothic and religious, combined with his lean towards modern minimalism has garnered him the recognition of revitalizing the heritage house. [Photo via]
