Vanity Fair's annual International Best-Dressed Guest List, started by Eleanor Lambert during WWII, is regarded by fashion industry's elite as the ultimate authority on the world's most stylish trendsetters. With past icons like Audrey Hepburn, Princess Diana, Grace Kelly and, of course, Kate Moss, it's no wonder it has become such an honor to make it on this list. Now, for the first time ever, the epitomous mag is opening up two spots on the 2013 list to two readers who've got the sartorial style chops to make the cut.
In order to be considered, readers must submit a photo using #vfbestdressed via Twitter, Instagram, or Trendabl. Vanity Fair editors will choose the most stylish looks to be included in a weekly slideshow and monthly prize. At the end of the competition, one lucky man and woman will join their favorite fashion icons on the International Best-Dressed Guest List in the mag's September issue. Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter explains,
“Fashion has become more liberated thanks in no small part to the Internet and social media. We’re excited about bringing the iconic International Best-Dressed List into the digital age... People who come into the list in this way will probably have more interesting looks than those who come the traditional way.”
If you can't wait until September, have a look at some of our own daily Best Dressed Guest lists to see if you made the cut from the night before. You never know when you might get snapped and chosen as one of GofG's best dressed.
